Children are welcome at all our services.

There’s a special spot for young children in the cathedral if they choose. It has a soft mat, quiet toys, crafts and a small table. In addition, we offer Children’s Chapel during the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services. This is a special time for kids up to fifth grade to enjoy a special lesson and activity just for them. Sunday school for children Pre-K through sisth grade and youth group for grades seven through twelve meets at 10:10 a.m. on Sundays during the fall, winter and spring.

If you wish to become a formal member of Trinity Cathedral, the canons (rules) of the Episcopal Church provide several ways to do this.

Indeed, we hope you will consider doing so, because the more one integrates their whole life into a community of Christian discipleship, the more they will experience the breadth of our faith tradition.

The Episcopal Church is glad to be among the first American religious institutions to include LGBTQ+ people as full members and leaders in our church.

Many LGBTQ+ people and couples are members of our parishes and also serve as bishops, priests, and deacons. This is true nationally and in our diocese.

Episcopal worship is sometimes considered somewhat formal by visitors because we are a “liturgical” church.

That means we generally follow a set pattern of prayers, hymns, and readings from the Bible. If you’ve ever been to a Lutheran or Roman Catholic service, our liturgical style of worship will feel more familiar to you.

We usually celebrate Holy Communion (also sometimes called Holy Eucharist, The Lord’s Supper, or Mass) on Sunday mornings, but not always. We also use a service called Morning Prayer, which consists of prayers, music, Scripture, and sermon.

Our worship is intended to be highly participatory. During worship, the congregation is invited to read certain prayers together out loud, to stand and sing together almost all of the music, to greet people around you in the middle of the service, and to come forward to receive Holy Communion.

We will also pass a plate for an offering. You are welcome to join in, but we have no expectation that our visitors will make a contribution. It is important to know that all gifts regardless of size are received with gratitude.

You will find people dressed very casually (i.e., jeans, T-shirts), more formally and a great variety in between.

Almost everyone dresses more casually in summer. Just be yourself. You’ll fit in!

Parking is available in our lot behind the church (enter from Prospect Ave). Parking is free during worship services.

The address for the parking lot is 2333 Prospect Ave., Cleveland 44115. We have handicap accessibility to the cathedral (i.e. automatic door openers, no stairs).

We believe that we encounter the fullness of the sacrament of Holy Eucharist through the grace we receive at baptism. We hope that if you feel drawn to communion, you will follow up with a conversation about baptism!
